Biographical Outline by Chris Mathieson and S. E. Thornbush An extraordinary and exciting talent, Edoardo's approach to filmmaking reflects his diverse background and experience. Born and brought up in Rome with Italian parents, but educated at an English school, he moved to England after gaining a place at Oxford University. It was while at Oxford that Edoardo realised that his future lay in filmmaking. After completing his degree he directed his first project. His film A Good Man, a taut story of family conflict and revealed secrets, won a Gold Award in the "Directing" category at the Houston International Film Festival in 2003. His seductively frenetic and atmospheric music video took a very different approach, accompanying pop singer Schula Mornay's single, Stole My Boyfriend. Edoardo's next project, Oblivious, unveils the relationship between purloiner and victim. Edoardo's camera techniques together with Neil Oseman's lighting help portray the truths that lurk in the small dark streets of Oxford. Among the directors that he names as influencing and inspiring him are James Cameron, Ridley Scott, Steven Spielberg and Franco Zeffirelli. Edoardo is based in Los Angeles. |
